BACKGROUND:
Since 1915, the Fellowship of Reconciliation has carried on programs and educational projects concerned with domestic and international peace and justice, nonviolent alternatives to conflict and social change, and the right of conscience. Since 2002 FOR has provided protective physical accompaniment in Colombia for nonviolent civil society groups working for social justice and at risk from political violence. The program also coordinates a national grassroots advocacy campaign to end US military aid to Colombia.
